UD Trucks MEENA is Gearing Up for Extra Mile Challenge 2026

UD Trucks is preparing for the return of one of its most anticipated global initiatives, the Extra Mile Challenge 2026, the company’s flagship driver competition held every two years to celebrate the skill, dedication, and professionalism of commercial vehicle drivers around the world.

Across the Middle East, East, and North Africa region, UD Trucks MEENA will be represented by three national teams from Qatar, the UAE, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with local qualifying rounds scheduled between March 20 and May 30.

The Extra Mile Challenge has become much more than a competition. It is a platform that recognizes drivers as the true backbone of the transport industry, the professionals who keep businesses moving, economies growing, and communities connected every single day.

This year’s edition will once again test participants on a combination of safe driving practices, fuel efficiency, technical knowledge, and vehicle handling, reinforcing the core principles that define UD Trucks’ approach to sustainable and responsible transport solutions.

For UD Trucks MEENA, the event reflects a long-standing commitment to building and supporting a strong driver community across the region.

Local finals in each country will bring together top-performing drivers from partner fleets and dealerships, creating an opportunity for learning, networking, and shared best practices. Winners will then advance to represent their markets on the global stage, joining drivers from around the world in the international finals.

Over the years, the challenge has helped foster a unique culture among UD drivers, one that values safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. It has also strengthened relationships between customers, drivers, and the UD Trucks network, reinforcing the brand’s promise to always go the extra mile.

As preparations begin across Qatar, the UAE, and KSA, anticipation is already building. For many drivers, the Extra Mile Challenge is not just a competition, it’s a moment of recognition and a celebration of their craft.

The road to 2026 starts now.

Stay tuned for further updates.
