MK Series Overview

New Cabin

The new UD Medium Duty cabin blends contemporary design with functionality that improves driver safety and comfort. You’ll enjoy more headroom and 25mm more legroom, plus a new CVG driver’s seat, one of the most comfortable seats on the market. Add an SRS driver’s airbag, and a new Audio, Navigation & Entertainment System and the ’office’ just got a whole lot nicer.

New Seat

UD’s new CVG driver's seat offers a 7-position adjustable seat damper. Add a headrest 80mm higher, and height, tilt, seat cushion slide and lumbar adjustments and you have one of the best, most comfortable seats available.

Performance

UD’s new GH7, 7 litre, 6 cylinder common rail variable injection turbo diesel improves fuel economy by approximately 10%. Horsepower and torque increases to 180kW / 716Nm or 206kW / 883Nm - 7% and 8% more power, and 4% and 11% more torque respectively over the outgoing model. Add SCR and 30,000* km service intervals, and you’ve got a clean, efficient, and worry free transport solution.

Mass ratings

UD MK 11 250 and MK 11 280 provide a GVM of 11 tonnes, with GCM up to 20 tonne.

Chassis Enhanced

Our Euro 5 chassis uses stronger 550MPa steel (up from 450MPa) for a 22% increase in strength. UD’s MK chassis layout will not change until the introduction of Euro 7, and the Euro 6 emissions/exhaust is already packaged into the Euro 5 layout. So, bodies can be transferred from chassis to chassis until at least 2020.

Automatics

Option of the Allison 5 speed automatic is available. Perfect for metro delivery, stop/start operations, tow trucks, and tipper applications. Oil change intervals are available up to 240,000 km. Allison transmissions are proven reliable and worry free. Operators and drivers love them.

Emissions

SCR technology eliminates 95% of Nitrous Oxides (NOx), and almost all diesel particulate matter. UD’s SCR equipped medium duty trucks are one of the cleanest available in the Australian market. Importantly, our technology will remain fundamentally the same through the Euro 6 update.
