GW Series Overview

UD’s Quon range of heavy duty trucks have been the No. 1 Japanese heavy duty truck over 350hp in Australia for 6 years running. And we’re No.1 for good reason. Our SCR technology means our trucks clean the air in some urban environments. Our bullet proof 13 litre turbo diesel has been proven in some of the most testing environments in Australia. Between the heavy duty GK 17 400, CW 26 400, GW 26 400 and GW 26 470 range of rigid trucks and prime movers, we’ve got your fleet covered. Cabin

UD’s heavy duty cabin blends contemporary design with functionality that improves driver safety and comfort. Excellent storage, carpet, headroom and legroom create a cabin that is roomy, comfortable and designed for the operator. With a driver’s SRS airbag, , climate control air-conditioning and a new SAT/NAV Audio, Navigation & Entertainment System, the ’office’ just got a whole lot more productive.

FUPS

UD’s heavy duty trucks offer Front Under-run Protection System (FUPS) and a 6.5t front axle capacity as standard.

Performance

UD’s GE13, 13 litre, 6 cylinder unit injector variable nozzle turbo* diesel improves fuel economy by approximately 10% over an equivalent EGR engine.  Horsepower and torque configurations are available from 287kW with 1716 Nm at 1100rpm, up to 340kW with 2255 Nm at 1200 rpm. Already available with the proven SCR technology and 25,000 km service intervals, UD’s heavy duty trucks make sound business sense.

Air Suspension or Leaf Suspension

The Quon heavy duty range comes with air suspension on GK 400 and CW 26 400 models, and a choice of Air or 6 rod Leaf suspension on GW 26 400 and GW 26 470.

Mass ratings

GK 17 400 provides GVM of 16,500kg and GCM up to 40,000kg. GK can be B-Double rated. GW 26 400 a GVM of 26,000kg and GCM or 50,000 kg for 3950 and 6500mm wheelbase variants. GW 26 470 offers a GVM of 26,000kg and a standard GCM of 70,000 kgs, is B-Double rated, has a Road Train option and GCM options up to 96,000kgs.

Equipment

UD’s heavy duty range comes standard with a SRS Drivers Airbag, A-Pillar grab handle, SAT/NAV system nd FUPS standard, Quon is a more pleasant place to work from. Add other features like 24v power supply, large centre console, triple arm 2 speed wipers, heated and electronically operated mirrors, ADR42/04compliant sleeper bunk, heated and cooled storage box, climate controlled air-conditioning, cruise control and power windows to complete the picture.

Automated

You can have the option of the Eaton AutoShift Automated Manual Transmission in GW 26 470 models, calibrated by UD’s Australian engineers and recognised as easily the best, smoothest installation in the country. With 18 forward gears, 4 reverse gears, the Eaton Cobra shift and dash mounted gear display, you will make your life easier with an Eaton Automated UD truck.

Emissions

SCR technology eliminates 95% of Nitrous Oxides (NOx), and almost all diesel particulate matter. UD’s SCR equipped heavy duty trucks are striving to be one of the cleanest available in the Australian market. Importantly, our technology will remain fundamentally the same through the Euro 6 update.
